Your Local Real Ale Pub
Oakes Barn opened in November 2013 as a Free House in Bury St Edmunds serving six real ales and a selection of craft beer and lager, an excellent range of wines, gins, and ciders alongside homemade food. We are community spirited and we embrace our historical links to the medieval town and James Oakes, the historian that we took our name and inspiration from. Our aim was simple, to create a hub for people to meet, socialise and make friends.
A record club for people who want to play records, listen to other people's records, dance to records, discover new records, talk about records and even make records. Held at Oakes Barn Freehouse, anyone who wants to DJ can DJ, just let us know in advance and Ken will add you to the list. 10 DJs max so get in there quick to be guaranteed a slot. Each record club will have a different theme. Get your records out!
